New Players

We would like to welcome any new players to the club. After a few gap years we now have a group of junior players who are starting to find their feet in adult cricket. But with all due respect to them, the gap between Junior 5C and Tucker 2 is huge, so we need more adult players to strengthen the 1st XI (relegation was avoided in 2011 by just one point) and also to encourage the youngsters as they begin their adult careers. If you would like to test yourself in Tucker 2 or support the lads in Junior 5C, or even just play in the midweek team, then please get in touch.

We would also be pleased to welcome new junior players. We are Clubmark accredited, and also a Cambridgeshire Cricket Board focus club. Although we play in the U15, U13 & U11 age groups, most teams will contain players who are one or even two years younger than the age limit.

2012 Season

Happy New Year to all our members. Preparations for the new season are already underway and for the seniors nets have been arranged at the Leys School in Cambridge. The first session is on TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7th and then for the next nine Tuesday evenings. Each session runs from 7:15pm to 8:15pm and will cost £3 per person. Please pass the word to all members.

1st XI fixtures are now available and a full list will be published soon. We have home games against Ickwell and Warboys to start with followed by a trip to Yaxley.

The 2nd XI will be playing in Division 5C of the CCA Lunior League. Fixtures are not yet available but opponents are as follows: Bottisham & Lode II, Burrough Green II, Buntingford II, NCI V, Newmarket II, Newport II, Saffron Walden V.

We will again be entering the Adams Harrison Midweek League. Fixtures will be published after the AGM which is scheduled for January 29th

Junior Teams

There will be three junior teams this year, at U11, U13 & U15 age groups. All of these teams will be playing in the Cambridgeshire Youth Cricket Association League. It may be useful for parents to know that the designated evening for U15 matches is Monday, and for U13 matches it is Thursday. That leaves the U11 games to fit in, but in the past Sunday morning has proved popular. Again, the fixtures will be published here on the website as soon as we get them, and also in the handbook.
